2011 Mission Opportunities
Assisted Living Ministry: FRC conducts services at these facilities on Sunday afternoons at 2:00. Throughout the year we also conduct special projects, including Christmas Day. The schedule for each facility is:

Tara Plantation: First, third and fifth Sunday afternoon each month.

The Oaks: Second Sunday afternoon each month.

Laurel Creek: Fourth Sunday afternoon each month.

The Manor: Third Sunday afternoon each month.

Whirlwind Missions: Partnering with the North American Mission Board and Whirlwind Missions, we have opportunity to impact internationals living in apartments in and around the Doraville, Georgia area. Projects are conducted on Saturday mornings, 9:00 to 12:00 Noon. Individuals and classes are encouraged to get involved in this mission opportunity. No cost. Eagle Ranch: We provide meals once a month to the Peace and Hope Homes at Eagle Ranch in Flowery Branch, GA. We also lead special events throughout the year, such as pancake breakfast, fishing tournament, bonfire, Thanksgiving meal, Christmas gifts, etc. Special events usually take place on Saturdays. Disaster Relief: FRC partners with the North American Mission Board and the Georgia Baptist Convention to respond to national and local disasters such as hurricanes, tornadoes and floods. Volunteers help in areas such as food preparation and service, debris clean-up and removal, servicing equipment and providing drivers to move equipment to needed locations. Volunteers are also available to work with the Forsyth County Sheriff Department when there is a local need. Special training and certification is required. Families on Mission: The entire family can be involved in this mission experience at Camp Tifton Resort Ministries in Maryville, TN. Day Camping for children, roadside hospitality, home repair, servant evangelism, and much more are all part of this mission experience. Dates are June 12-18, 2011. Cost is approximately $200.00 per person. Call the Missions Office for more information.
Toronto, Canada: Partnering with Chosen People Ministries we will reach out to the city of Toronto with various ministry efforts such as VBS, Backyard Bible Clubs, Acts of Kindness, Literature Distribution, etc. Date and cost are to be determined. Call the Missions Office for more information.
Appalachia: Partnering with the Appalachian Regional Ministries we will conduct a project among some of the poorest and needy in America, such a VBS, Backyard Bible Clubs, sports, camp ground ministry, food distribution, etc. Cost, location and date are to be determined. World Changers: Partnering with the North American Mission Board our Middle School students will be participating in a mission project in Brunswick, GA, July 18-23. Our Senior High students will be participating in a mission project in Anniston, AL, July 18-23. Contact the Student Ministry Office for more information.
India/Nepal: Partnering with Hopegivers International we will be dedicating a new Redeemer Church in Nepal, with additional ministry in that area. We will also teach in the Bible College in Kota, India. The tentative date is December 3-13, 2011 and approximate cost is $2,500.00. Call the Missions Office for additional information.
South Africa: Partnering with the Baptist Union of Southern Africa we will be working with a new Redeemer Church in Kimberley, South Africa, conducting various ministries such as VBS, Backyard Bible Club, sports, door-to-door evangelism, etc. The tentative date is August 15-23, 2011 and approximate cost is $2,500.00. Moldova: Partnering with Operation Mobilization Moldova and the Baptist Union of Moldova we will dedicate a new Redeemer Church, construct a playground and other ministry. The date is July 19-29, 2011 and approximate cost is $2,400.00. Call the Missions Office for additional information.
