11.18.22 PASTOR'S POST

Dear Redeemer Family,

Like many of you, this time of year causes me to reflect on the many things for which I’m thankful. At a time when most see the world’s glass as half-empty, remembering my blessings reminds me that my cup overflows. Here is just a sampling of the things I’m grateful for:

  • I’m thankful for my wonderful family and for the countless ways God has blessed us.
  • I’m thankful for a church family that loves Jesus and all those He came to save.
  • I’m thankful for a church family that joyfully serves, generously sends, and selflessly gives…all for the glory of our Savior.
  • I’m thankful for the extraordinary men and women with whom I’m privileged to work alongside every day.
  • I’m thankful for the thousands in our church who donate their time and effort every week to serve our church and community.
  • I’m thankful for the men who pastor our Redeemer Churches throughout the world and for the congregations they lead.
  • I’m thankful for the powerful, life-changing gospel message that is for all places in all times.
  • I’m thankful for the freedoms we have in America with which we’re still able to worship Jesus and to tell others about Him.
  • I’m thankful for the men and women who pay an enormous price to protect our freedoms and to protect and serve us.
  • I’m thankful for the countless ways God blesses and protects our wonderful church.
  • Of course, most of all, I’m thankful for a Savior who loved me so much that He left heaven for my rescue.

For what are you thankful? As you begin to make your own list, it won’t take long for your countless blessings to remind you of God’s faithfulness and goodness in your own life. My prayer is that this Thanksgiving will help us all to love God more dearly, trust Him more completely, and walk with Him more closely.

We’ll be kicking off Thanksgiving week on Sunday with another great day of worship. I’ll see you in church!

Your Pastor,

Jeff
