Easter offers a solution to our greatest problem

We all share the same problem
Example: We know from the Bible:

…all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

Example: We know from our own experience
Romans 6:23 (NIV2011)
…the wages of sin is death…

We all share a serious problem

Jesus died in our place
Example: Courtroom
1 Peter 2:24 (NIV2011)
24  “He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.”

Jesus died to pay our penalty

God accepted Jesus’ payment
1 Corinthians 15:17 (NIV2011)
…if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins.
Application: Easter offers a solution to our greatest problem
Example: Making an offer on a house

Easter offers victory over our greatest challenge
Example: Everyone dies

Death has been defeated
